What's been on my mind + New Year's Resolutions

Besides this blog being a fashion/review/beauty/etc. blog, I'd also like it to be a place where I can just type about things that are on my mind. Now, I'd like to point out that I'm not going to vent about how 'suckish' my life is every time I feel sad, on the contrary, I am just going to type little realizations and all that.

So recently I've been thinking about what I want to do with my life, I mean, I'm only 14 but this time next year I've got my O Levels and after that I need to know what 6th form to go to, what subjects I'm going to take, whether I'm going to get a part-time job, etc. I've been saying this for as long as I can remember, but what I really want to do after my O Levels is travel. By travel I don't mean going on little tours with tour groups, I mean travelling on my own completely, going wherever the wind flows. What I'd really want to do that summer is go up to Birmingham on my birthday to visit a pen-friend of mine, Megan, then she'd come down to Malta to stay here for a little while. That would honestly be perfect.
More or less, I'd like to get away as much as I can. I like to think that 2014 will be the beginning of my life. I really want to do well in my O Levels to get into a school abroad, preferably in the UK, because its a little close to home and the language is fluent. I'd also like to go to America sometime, preferably when I'm 18 so I can travel on my own. Also, I'd like to do something my cousin did once, which was travelling across Asia with a backpack and spending some time in Australia and New Zealand, all in a year.

Enough from my future, I'd like to list down a few things I'd like to do this year.
  • Swear less. I don't swear very much, but sometimes it just slips out and I really want to avoid that.
  • Exercise more. I plan on getting a nice body by summer and I can't do that without a little sacrifice, so I'll be exercising more and eating more moderately.
  • Learn how to cook. By this I mean, getting in the kitchen and reading a recipe. It might help take things off my mind and also, I love sweets and treats.
  • Drink more water. I hardly drink any water! That's probably why my skin is not the best... I want to start drinking at least a small bottle of water everyday.
  • Take more photographs. Last year, I spent a fair amount on a camera and its about time I start using it! I want to start going out and taking it along, like I take my phone along, and taking pictures of people I'm with or where I'm visiting.
  • Be less attached. A big mistake I do when making friends, is being slightly attached and talking to them more than they talk to me and I don't think they like it very much. So I want to start respecting that.
  • Start a YouTube channel. I've been wanting to do this for about a year now but I never got myself to do it and this year I plan on starting!
  • Say yes! I want to start saying "yes" to more things. I worry to much about what might happen and who I might meet, etc. If someone asks me to meet them for a little while I would like to start saying "yes."
  • Stop relying on people. I need to be more of an individual. If I want to go out, I should go out, even if people don't want to come along.
  • Study more! Due to the O Levels coming up in a year, I want to start revising regularly, to be prepared.
Hope you liked the post even though it was slightly different xx
(p.s. I'll also leave links to my social networks and stuff in the side bar :) )

    1. I love the thought! Everyone who I mention it to continuously tell me how boring it will be but I'm quite an individual so I can totally see myself doing it :D
