A little unexpected haul

Last Monday, 31st of December, Becky (check out her haul post here) and I decided to go to Valletta for a few hours in hopes of finding a few bargains and I can assure you that we did.
Firstly, I would like to point out what a lovely atmosphere Valletta had last Monday. There was music playing, Christmas decorations still up, New Year's Eve stands setting up and loads of people. It just looked like a city and that was great.

Now, to the hauling part of it all. We first went into The Body Shop as I needed a brush but I saw them being slightly overpriced so I ignored those and moved on to see their eyelash curler for a reasonable price of €5.80 so I grabbed that and I also got an almond scented Hand and Nail cream which was badly needed, for €8.30.

We then went to Claire's and we were quite surprised when we found that they had a 50% sale on everything! One of the main reasons I don't buy from Claire's is because I think the prices are slightly high for small pieces of jewellery. Now, I've been wanting to buy a ring for quite a while now but I could never find one which suits the freakishly small size of my hands, but alas I found one which I think is really sweet for €5.95.  I've also been looking for 'smart-and-dressy' ear rings since about November and I found a cute pair which are quite a neutral colour for €4.95. Because these were half price I only spent €5.45!

I then went to a small shop called Tenda were I bought a donut bun holder (I don't know the exact name, sorry) for only €2.00!

We then went to the Maltese version of a pound store, except its 2 euro per item, and bought four foundation sponges which were very desperately needed as mine is tearing.

After all this we went for a lovely hot chocolate at one of my favorite coffee shops, Jubillee. We then went to buy some sweets and treats for tea from a 'gabana'.
(Pictures of the sweets are unavailable for obvious reasons)

(Side note: I would take more pictures of these adventures, example pictures of the city, but my camera was broken)

Happy New Year xx
